Item #: SCP-012 — Scholar’s Promise

Special Containment Procedures: All personnel must be tested for destructive tendencies before given access to SCP-012 to avoid altering it's anomalous properties. SCP-012 will be sealed in a wooden box without cracks at all times that it isn't being tested on.
Description: Scholar’s Promise is a anomalous object that changes forms randomly. This change in form ranges from 1 week to 1 year. SCP-012’s new forms also have anomalous properties. Such as
Some of the cases include:
- A syringe with the ability to cure any disease from a person
- A sponge that can hold infinite amounts of water
- A balloon animal gun that when fired, creates a balloon animal out of nothing
- A microwave that runs without power
It appears that SCP-012’s forms are sometimes related to a research field. As when a person is close enough during the time that SCP-012 changes forms, there is a slight chance that SCP-012 will become an anomalous item related to that field.
When Scholar’s Promise changes from one object to another, it will turn into a black liquid that is highly toxic to any being that eats it before turning into the next object. A object can be repeated with it's anomalous changing or staying the same.
TEST Log 012-A:

| Results | No results at first. Along the 10 minute mark, D-Class begin reporting slight discomfort. At the 15 minute mark, D-Class started having a head-ache. During the 20 minute mark, the D-Class begin to feel severe pain in their head. After the 25 minute mark, the D-Class started losing motor functions. At the 30 minute mark, D-Class died of brain death. |

| Results | Upon D-Class attempting to use the broken piece of SCP-012 as a sponge, it worked as a regular sponge without any anomalous properties meaning all broken pieces do not count as SCP-012-#. However, the larger piece of the sponge worked with it's anomalous properties. |
Note from Dr ██████: It appears that if the entire object were to be destroyed, SCP-012 will reform in a random place across the globe. SCP-012 can come as 2 separate objects with anomalous properties. Although, that result is rare.
